Yes, that's not an error.  We are changing our distribution model to take advantage of Sonology Music's mature and secure ordering system and to continue emphasize downloadable "print and play"  music. All of our music sales are web-based and purchased via credit card.  That means substancial savings on postage and print costs.  Anyone can purchase, download, and print STEP music now - membership is not required.  But for the VERY SMALL FEE OF JUST $15, you can join both Sonology Music and STEP at the same time. Then you can print, download, and play STEP music OR SONOLOGY MUSIC TITLES for a rate discounted from our published prices for non-members.

You do the math and figure out how many titles it would take you to pay for your membership.  Then you can chose to purchase STEP music at the published rate, or purchase a membership and enjoy the benefits of reduced price on every single purchase from our online store.
